Cooperation

MAPPING AND PLAYBOOK ON COOPERATION FOR PRACTITIONERS

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Increased operating costs, and thus higher rents, are putting financial pressure on many social housing departments. At the same time, a higher level of service, efficiency and professionalization of the housing organizations is typically expected. Cooperation between social housing departments offers the opportunity to ensure a high professional quality, cheaper operation and better resident service.

The project's focus was to create new knowledge about cooperation and to show how to create the best framework for cooperation. The project was divided into two parts, which were about 1) mapping the forms of co-operation that exist in fsb today and experiences from other housing organisations, and 2) developing a tool (playbook) for carrying out the co-operation process. The project was carried out in close collaboration with operational staff and the management of fsb. At the same time, a number of other housing organizations contributed to both the mapping and development of the tool.

The target group is senior employees and operational staff in social housing organisations. At the same time, the playbook can encourage resident-elected representatives to 'plunge into cooperation'.
